Fascinated by the deeply dark and personally resonant, Emily's directing vision goes best with projects with a social message, and which have a goal of human connection through deep revelation. In 2017 Emily was at Disneyland when Main Street Electrical Parade returned, and people were screaming and shedding tears of joy around her as the music started. She wants to direct works that touch people and bring as much happiness as she witnessed that night.
Passionate about new work, Emily loves creative problem solving for new stories. She does her best work when collaborating with playwrights/screen writers to strengthen overall story and fine-tune details to be true to the characters.
She is regularly inspired by Scandal, parades at Disneyland, The Phantom of the Opera, Fantasmic!, and The Handmaid's Tale.
